Employment Pass
The work permit for directors and employees of a Labuan entity. Senior management, professional and technical roles. Typically multi-year and renewable, with the exact term set by the Immigration Department of Malaysia, and a minimum salary of RM 10,000 per month or the equivalent.
Dependent Pass
For the spouse and dependent children of an Employment Pass holder, per Immigration Department of Malaysia rules. We file these alongside the main application so the family moves on the same approval where possible.
Long Term Social Visit Pass
For family members who fall outside the Dependent Pass: common-law spouses, parents and parents-in-law. Eligibility is set by the Immigration Department of Malaysia, and we confirm the right category before we file.
Sponsorship
We act as the sponsoring party on behalf of your Labuan entity. The entity must be in good standing with Labuan FSA and show a genuine operational need for the role.
Renewals and transfers

Documentation pack

Labuan FSA and Immigration submission
We submit to Labuan FSA for prior approval. Once approved, the file proceeds to the Immigration Department of Malaysia, with dependant applications filed in parallel where applicable.

Who can apply for a Labuan Employment Pass?
Directors and employees of a Labuan-registered entity can apply for a Labuan Employment Pass. How long is a Labuan Employment Pass valid for?
A Labuan Employment Pass is typically multi-year and renewable, subject to the entity remaining in good standing and the holder remaining in the role. The exact term is set by the Immigration Department of Malaysia. Renewal must be started before expiry so there is no gap in the holder's permission to remain in Malaysia. Can my family relocate with me?
Yes. The spouse and dependent children of an Employment Pass holder qualify for a Dependent Pass, per Immigration Department of Malaysia rules, which follows the validity of the main pass. Family members who do not qualify for a Dependent Pass, such as common-law spouses, parents and parents-in-law, can apply for a Long Term Social Visit Pass, with eligibility set by the Immigration Department of Malaysia. We submit dependant applications alongside the main Employment Pass where applicable.
Do I need a Labuan company before applying for an Employment Pass?
Yes. The Employment Pass is sponsored by a Labuan entity, so the entity must exist and be in good standing with Labuan FSA before the application is filed. Where you are setting up at the same time, we run the entity formation and the Employment Pass together so both reach operational status on aligned timelines.
